IMAGINATION MAKERS THEATER COMPANY LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED TEACHING ARTISTS TO TEACH AFTER-SCHOOL ACTING CLASSES

JOB DESCRIPTION

Imagination Makers Theater Company is looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic teaching artists for their Young Imagination Makers after-school acting classes. Classes will be held for children in grades K-6 at elementary schools in the Denver metro area. Sessions typically run for eight weeks with a one hour class each week. Candidates must have experience in teaching theater/acting classes to elementary school age children, as well as some additional experience in theater.  Experienced, trained actors are preferred.  A commitment to youth theatre, as well as an ability to foster creative and expressive talents in children is crucial.  The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, flexible individual who is able to work both independently and as part of the overall Imagination Makers team.

PAY

$50 per class, totaling $400 for an 8-week session, the total of which is paid in full upon completion of all classes.

TIMES AND DATES

Classes will take place at various times throughout the 2010-11 school year. Must be available to teach at least one weekday afternoon (not including Friday).  Teaching engagements are dependent upon program demand.
