If you lose a peanut butter sandwich at school, where will it end up? Very likely in the “lost and found”, that bin or storage room found in every school, which is overflowing with lost sweaters, lunch boxes and stuffed animals. What if these items could tell their stories? From unearthing an i-pod that had been dropped in the snow, to the loss of a childhood home, the play Lost and Found brings to life a diverse group of true tales. Penned by children from a variety of different cultural, geographic and experiential backgrounds, this new musical play ranges from side-splitting humorous anecdotes of possessions gone missing, to touching reflections of misplaced things recovered. Lost and Found lets kids know they are not alone in the transformational pain of losing a best friend, as well as helping them celebrate the joy of finding a misplaced treasure or a new passion for roller-skating!
