Executive/ Education Director; Lead Teaching Artist
As the founder of Imagination Makers, Rosey created and directed its 26 original productions. She has conducted 57 residency/art education partnerships in schools and communities across Colorado. In addition to her work with IM, Rosey created the VOICES program, consisting of a residency program and accompanying play for Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theater Program. She was an artist and site visitor for the Young Audiences Artist in Residence program. Ms. Waters was selected to conduct sessions on her work teaching and creating plays at two American Alliance of Theater and Education national conferences. She studied process drama in the UK with Dorothy Heathcote, one of the pioneers of using drama as a way to teach children.
Ms. Waters has also been seen as an actor on many stages around the Denver area. She is currently a role player for CWORX, a company that provides actors for Crisis Intervention Training with police officers.
Jenny Stafford is a bookwriter, lyricist, and playwright. Her lyrics have been heard on Broadway (Paramour), as well as off-Broadway and at various venues across the country. Her works include Prodigy (workshop productions through Collaborative Development Project, Two Rivers Theatre Company, and Indiana University), To Have and to Hold (produced by Prospect Theatre Company), Cinderella (commissioned and produced by the Spotlight Youth Theatre), Two Bugs are Better Than One (commissioned by the New York City Children’s Theatre, all with Willem Oosthuysen), The Artist and the Scientist (with Brandon Anderson, produced at CAP21), The Star Child (with Sarah Underwood and Josh Freilich, produced at Frenchwoods), and Awakening (with Joel B. New and J. Oconer Navarro). Her work has been featured at the Lincoln Center Songbook Series (The Lyrics of Jennifer Stafford), Prospect Theatre Company, The National Alliance for Musical Theatre Songwriter Salon, the New York Musical Theatre Festival, 54 Below, Ars Nova, Joe’s Pub, and numerous other NYC venues. Awards include finalist status for the Yale Institute for Music Theatre, the Eugene O’Neill Musical Theatre Conference, and the Ronald M. Ruble New Play Competition, as well as second prize in the McLean Drama Company Playwriting Competition, and the Paulette Goddard Award. She’s been an Artist in Residence at Goodspeed Musicals, CAP 21, the Ross Ragland Theatre, and the Berkshire Playwrights Theatre. Dramatists Guild member; MFA NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
